DESCRIPTION:Classes are held Mondays\, Tuesdays and Wednesdays May 4\, 5\, 6\, 11\, 12\, 13\, 18\, 19\, 2011 AM – 3 PM EDT \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Course\n\n\n\nLooking to streamline your construction projects while enhancing quality and reducing costs? The Lean Construction Education Program is your answer. This comprehensive 36-hour program\, offered by the Associated General Contractors of America\, is designed for construction professionals at all levels. It teaches the Lean Operating System\, focusing on continuous improvements for every aspect of a construction project – from planning to recycling. \n\n\n\nThe program includes five units\, covering everything from the introduction to Lean Construction to applying Lean thinking outside of field production. You’ll learn about process efficiency\, variation mitigation\, the Last Planner System®\, and much more. Plus\, participants have the opportunity to apply for an exam to earn the Certificate of Management – Lean Construction (CM-Lean)\, signifying a deep understanding of Lean principles and practices. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re a seasoned professional or new to the field\, this program will provide the knowledge and skills to transform your projects and company into a model of Lean efficiency. \n\n\n\nAfter completing the course\, students receive a Certificate of Completion and a digital badge to share. \n\n\n\nTechnology and Participation \n\n\n\n\nFor the classroom: \n\n\n\nFor participation: \n\n\n\n\nPlease have Zoom downloaded.\n\n\n\nComputer with dual monitor preferred.\n\n\n\nLaptop is good with a separate tablet to access their e-textbook.\n\n\n\nTablet or phone is ok with hardcopy textbook\n\n\n\nTwo mobile devices ok – one for the meeting and one for the e-textbook\n\n\n\n\n\nCamera\, either built in or added on and ready to stream to the classroom.\n\n\n\nHeadphones or earbuds with microphones are preferred\n\n\n\nComputer/device mic and speakers are ok if in private\, quiet room.\n\n\n\nEach student should be on their own computer/laptop/tablet\, if possible. \n\n\n\nIf this is a software training\, please have the software downloaded and logged in.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n. \n\n\n\nCourse Units \n\n\n\nUnit 1 – Introduction to Lean ConstructionUnit 2 – Process and Production BasicsUnit 3 – Project Production SystemsUnit 4 – Lean Thinking in Field Production\, Last Planner® System Unit 5 – Lean Thinking Outside of Field Production \n\n\n\nLCEP Learning Objectives \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents participating in AGC’s five-unit Lean Construction Education program will be eligible to take an exam to earn their CM-Lean. \n\n\n\nThe AGC Certificate of Management-Lean Construction (CM-Lean) is an assessment-based certificate credential that denotes knowledge and understanding of concepts related to lean adoption\, practice\, and process transformation outlined in AGC’s Lean Construction Education Program. After such time\, no refunds will be given. Send transfer requests to rockkie.dunton[@]agc.org.  \n\n\n\nAGC reserves the right to cancel programs up to 10 days prior to the start date if a minimum number of attendees is not met. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet Your Course Instructor:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDawlat Elmosalmi | MSc.\, PMP\, CM-LEANLean Implementation Manager \n\n\n\nDawlat has over 14 years of experience in Lean Implementation\, Project Management\, and Architectural Projects. Certified by Engineering & consulting offices accrediting committee in Qatar with UPDA grade A. She got her master’s degree in 2014 in Implementing Lean practice in BIM Projects. PMP Certified Professional. She implemented Lean in design projects for the first time in the Middle East in a design consultancy firm in 2013.  \n\n\n\nDawlat was one of the first CM-LEAN Instructors in Qatar and one of the first Lean leaders in the Middle East\, promoting Lean thinking and Lean Construction by being a speaker at several conferences since 2015. In addition\, she was one of the founding core teams of Lean Construction Institute in Qatar in 2019. Dawlat is an active Instructor for the AGC LCEP Course in Qatar and has instructed the course several times for public and private organizations. \n\n\n\n\n\nAGC’s Project Management Development Program offers participants up to 40 hours of professional development with the opportunity to receive the following continuing education credits (CEUs): \n\n\n\nTBD IACET CEUs | The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and offers IACET CEUs for its learning events that comply with the ANSI/IACET Continuing Education and Training Standard. IACET is recognized internationally as a standard development organization and accrediting body that promotes quality of continuing education and training. \n\n\n\nIn order to qualify for CEUs\, participants must: \n\n\n\n\nAttend the course for at least 95% of instruction time.\n\n\n\nComplete the course assessment via the AGC Learning Center with a score of 75% or greater.
